.

At least three people are dead after shots were fired at a party in south Alabama on Saturday night, police said.

Eighteen people were shot in total, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. About 1,000 people were attending the May Day party near Stockton when an argument broke out and at least one person fired multiple shots into the crowd, per WALA.

Authorities are investigating whether there may have been multiple shooters. The Washington Examiner reached out to the sheriff’s office to learn whether any arrests have been made.

Andre Reid with the sheriff’s office told the outlet that the victims were mostly “younger people.” Stockton is located about 30 miles northeast of Mobile, Alabama. It has a population of just about 400.
